GCW Udhampur participated in events under  Display Your Talent-2022-2023 at University of Jammu

Students of Government College for Women, Udhampur participated in different activities under “Display Your Talent 2022-2023”  w.e.f 09.11.2022 to 22.11.2022 on a mega festival of music, dance, theatre, fine arts & literary activities. The event organized by Department of Students Welfare, University of Jammu.

DETAIL OF MUSIC EVENTS  

Light Vocal Solo Song Competition:

Light vocal solo singing competitionwas held at Brig. Rajindera Singh Auditorium University of Jammu on November 09,2022.

 Two Participants of this college participated in the contest namely Sonia Verma and Purnima from Semester 3rd.  

Group Song Indian Competition: 

In Groupsong Indian competition was held at Brig. Rajindera Singh Auditorium University of Jammu on November 10,2022.

Six participants of this college participated in the contest namely Sonia Verma from Sem 3rd, Purnima from Sem3rd, Mousami from Sem 1st,  Charu Sharma from Sem 3rd, EknoorKour from Sem 5th and Komal Devi from sem 1st.  

During the contest, this college secured first prize in the Intercollegiate / Departmental Group Song Indian Competition

Western Vocal Solo Song Competition:

Western Vocal Solo Song competition was held at Brig. Rajindera Singh Auditorium University of Jammu on November 14,2022.

Two participants of this college participated in the contest namely Mohani from Sem 1st and Charu Sharma from Sem 3rd,  

During the contest, this college adjudged one certificate of merit in favour of Mohani in the Intercollegiate / Departmental Western Vocal Solo Song Competition

Western Group Song Competition:

Western Group song competition was held at Brig. Rajindera Singh Auditorium University of Jammu on November 14,2022.

Six participants of this college participated in the contest namely Mohanifrom Sem 1st , Charu Sharma from Sem 3rd,  IshneetKour from sem 1stRadhika Sharma from sem 3rd , Manvi from sem 1st  and Priya Thakur from 3rd respectively. 

During the contest, this college secured second prize in the Intercollegiate / Departmental Western Group Song Competition

Elocution Competition:

In Elocution competition was held at Brig. Rajindera Singh Auditorium University of Jammu  on November 17, 2022.

Two participants of this college participated in the contest namely Kriti Sharma and Radhika Sharma respectively.  

Debate Competition:

In Debate competition was held at Brig. Rajindera Singh Auditorium University of Jammu  on November 18, 2022.

Two participants of this college participated in the contest namely Neha and Radhika Sharma respectively.  

Quiz Competition:

In Quizcompetition was held at Brig. Rajindera Singh Auditorium University of Jammu  on November 21, 2022.

Two participants of this college participated in the contest namely Pragnaya , Riya Balotra and Kriti Sharma  respectively.  

DETAIL OF FINE ARTS EVENTS  

Poster Making Competition:

In poster making competition on the topic was ‘incredible india’and ‘health of wealth’ was held at Jammu University  on November 12, 2022.

Two participants of this college participated in the contest namely Mehak Gupta and Kiran Sharma respectively.  

During the contest, student of this college Mehak Gupta  secured second prize in the Intercollegiate / Departmental poster making  competition. 

Painting Competition:

In painting making competition on the two topics  “Winter Landscape” and “Festival” was held at Jammu University  on November 19, 2022.

Two participants of this college participated in the contest namely Kiran Sharmaand   Anjali respectively.  

During the contest, student of this college Kiran Sharmawere awarded certificate of merit in the Intercollegiate / Departmental painting making  competition. 

Installation Competition:

In Installation competition was held at Jammu University on November 11, 2022.

Two participants of this college participated in the contest namely Saher Shakeeland Vaishakha Gandotra respectively.  

Clay Modelling Competition:

In Clay Modelling competition was held at Jammu University on November 19, 2022.

Two participants of this college participated in the contest namely Anjaliand Vaishakha Gandotra respectively.  

Collage making Competition:

In Clay Modelling competition was held at Jammu University on November 12, 2022.

Two participants of this college participated in the contest namely Anjali and Vaishakha Gandotra respectively.

  Cartooning Competition:

In cartooningcompetition was held at Jammu University on November 19, 2022.

Two participants of this college participated in the contest namely Pragnaya Rainaand Riya Singh respectively. 

 Rangoli Competition:

In Rangoli competition was held at Jammu University on November 12, 2022.

Two participants of this college participated in the contest namely Kiran Sharmaand Anjalirespectively. 

 Mehandi Competition:

In Mehandicompetition was held at Jammu University on November 18, 2022.

Two participants of this college participated in the contest namely  Anjali and     Sheena Sharma respectively.  

During the contest, student of this college Anjali adjudged 3rd position in the Intercollegiate / DepartmentalMehandi  competition. 

DETAIL OF THEATRE EVENTS  

Skit Competition:

In Skit competitionwas held at Brig. Rajindera Singh Auditorium University of Jammu on November 15,2022.

Six participants of this college participated in the contest namely RenuDevi, Santoshi Devi, Rekha Devi, Sapna Devi, SamritiSharma and Mamta Devi all students from sem 1strespectively. 

During the contest, this college were awarded certificate of  merit in the Intercollegiate / Departmental skit Competition. 

Mime Competition:

In Mime competitionwas held at Brig. Rajindera Singh Auditorium University of Jammu on November 15,2022.

Six participants of this college participated in the contest namely YoushikaKumari, Santoshi Devi, Meenakshi Sharma, Renu Devi, Kajal Kumari and Smriti Sharma 

During the contest, this college were awarded 1stcertificate of  merit in the Intercollegiate / Departmental mimeCompetition. 

Mimicry Competition:

In Mimicry competition was held at Brig. Rajindera Singh Auditorium University of Jammu on November 15, 2022.

Two participants of this college participated in the contest namely Rekha Devi and Smriti Sharma 

During the contest, this college were secure  2nd prize to Smriti Sharma and 3rd prize awarded to Rekha Devi respectively. in the Intercollegiate / Departmental Mimicry Competition. 

One Act Play Competition:

In One Act Play competition was held at Brig. Rajindera Singh Auditorium University of Jammu on November 16, 2022.

Nine  participants of this college participated in the contest namely   Rekha Devi, Smriti Sharma, Mousmi, Kanchan Jamwal, YoushikaKumari,  Sapna Devi, Renu Devi,  Santoshi Devi and  Surbhi Sharma.

During the contest, this college were secured3rdprize  respectively in the Intercollegiate / Departmental one act play Competition. 

DETAIL OF DANCE EVENT  

Folk Dance Competition:

In Folk Dance competitionwas held at General Zorawar Singh Auditorium University of Jammu on November 22,2022.

Ten participants of this college participated in the contest namely Smaiksha Thakur,ManmeetKour, Khushi Rani, Shivani, CharuSharma, EknoorKour,Kashish, Anjali Shama, PalviShamra and Khushi Devi

Overall Achievement in Display Your Talent 2022-2023

• Overall runners up trophy awarded to   Government College for Women, Udhampur

• Overall trophy for best student was awarded to Charu Sharma from Semester 3rd GCW Udhampur. 

• Overall trophy for best performance in  theatrical eventswas awarded to Government College for Women, Udhampur
