GCW Conducts Awareness Programmee Under SVEPat Udhampur

SVEEP Cell, Government College for Women, Udhampur in collaboration with District Election Department, (SVEEP Team) Udhampur organized Awareness Programme on here March 20, 2024 under the banner of Systematic Voters Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP).
The programme was organized under the able guidance of Principal of the College, Prof. (Dr.) Nalini Pathania.
The resource persons of the awareness programme were Ashwani koul Supervisor, Sunil khajuria, BLO 144 ,Ajit Singh Teacher BLO 113 and Satinder Singh BLO 143.
A large number of students attended the awareness program and participated in different activities.
The event was started with keynote address by Prof. Nalini Pathania, Principal. She emphasized that the purpose of the programme was to aware the students regarding electoral literacy and also motivate them to participate effectively in the election process so that no voter to be left behind.
Further, the speaker of the event initiated his talk with the introduction of the theme “SVEEP”. He motivated the students to ensure their enrollment in the electoral polls in order to enhance the participation in forthcoming elections for stronger democracy.
Dr. Om Parkash also talked about the significance of active participation in the electoral process for the betterment of the nation.
The convenor of the programme was Prof. Swarna Devi ( SVEEP Cordinator). The organisers of the event were Dr. Om Parkash and Dr. Swati Dutt.
The whole event was anchored by Ms Samriti, students of Semester 6th of the college.
