The University of Jammu successfully organized the โ€œViksit Bharat Yuva Connect Program 2025โ€, a five-day mega event held from 30th July to 3rd August 2025. The program witnessed enthusiastic participation from 50 colleges affiliated to the University of Jammu and the Cluster University of Jammu, highlighting the spirit of sportsmanship, youth engagement, and nation-building under the Viksit Bharat initiative. The Honโ€™ble Lieutenant Governor of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, while Prof. Umesh Rai, Vice Chancellor of the University of Jammu, was present as the Special Guest, making the event truly prestigious. The five-day event featured multiple athletic and cultural activities, promoting holistic development among students. The Athletic Competition was a major highlight, drawing top performers from across the region. Government College for Women (GCW) Udhampur secured the Overall (Women Section) Championship in Athletics with remarkable performances in track and field events. Athletes from GCW Udhampur bagged top positions in Javelin Throw, Sprint Races, Relays, Discus Throw, High Jump, and Long-Distance Running, showcasing exceptional strength, speed, and endurance. The event concluded with a grand closing ceremony where winners were felicitated for their outstanding achievements. The initiative not only celebrated sports excellence but also emphasized the vision of Viksit Bharat, inspiring the youth to contribute towards a stronger and progressive nation.
