GCW UDHAMPUR, established in 1989, today is a top of the line premium Government institute. In it's nascent stage it was run from a social welfare Department. However, today it boasts of it's own campus nestled in the beautiful Shivalik hills. The infrastructure of the college is par excellence. It is equipped with a fine library, English Language Laboratory, smart rooms, Science Laboratories, a botanical garden, Music room and a canteen. This college provides equal opportunities to girls and tries to bring out the talents which they have, both in academics and cocurricular activities. This college has a full fledged wing of NCC as well as NSS, thereby boosting the morale and confidence of students in themselves.
