3-days Lecture Series On Career Opportunities For Graduates InHumanities W. E. F 17th -19th January, 2022

Career Counselling, Guidance and Placement (CCGP) Cell of Govt College for Women, Udhampur organised a “Three days Lecture Series on Career Opportunities for Graduates in Humanities (Virtual Mode) (2021-22)” under the supervision of Prof. Jugal Kishore, Convenor, CCGP Cell w. e. f 17.01.2022 to 19.01.2022. Prof. Minu Mahajan, Worthy Principal of the college was the chief guest on the occasion.
The series was inaugurated by the Worthy Principal, Prof. Minu Mahajan on 17.01.2022 and the proceedings of the inaugural function were initiated by Prof. Jugal Kishore, Convenor Career Counselling Cell wherein he welcomed the Chief guest and the august audience. While addressing the occasion, Principal of the college congratulated the Career Counselling Cell of the college for organising the event and encouraged them to organise such events in future also and advised the students to reap the benefits of such Career oriented Lectures thereby keeping them abreast of the ever-changing job market scenario available to the graduates in Humanities.
The lecture series covered 10 lectures delivered by 10 resource different persons covering ten subjects viz. Education, History, Computer Applications, Urdu, English, Hindi, Geography, Music, Dogri, Mathematics spanning over five sessions with two session per day each comprising of 2 lectures. Mr. A.K. Raina, Associate Professor in Hindi, Dr. Mool Raj, Assistant Professor in Urdu, Dr. Mohan Galgotra, Assistant Professor in Education, Mr. Yash Paul, Assistant Professor in History, Prof. Paramjit Singh, Assistant Professor in Computer Applications, Dr. Sumit Sharma, Assistant Professor in English, Ms. Pooja Bharti, Assistant Professor in Geography, Mr. Yash Kumar Assistant Professor in Music, Mrs. Neeru Anand, Assistant Professor in Dogri, and Mr. Jugal Kishore, Assistant Professor in Mathematics were the 10 resource persons on the occasion and the sessions were chaired by Mr. Arun Gupta, Librarian, Dr. Amit Kumar Sharma, Assistant Professor in Physics, Mr. Bini Kumar,Assistant Professor in Commerce, Jugal Kishore Assistant Professor in Mathematics in turns.
All resource Persons through their intriguing and interactive lectures, exposed the students with the various Career opportunities available to the students after graduation in their respective subject area. More than 550 students have enthusiastically participated in the different lectures in different subjects held in three-day lecture series clearing their doubts through live interaction with the respective speakers thereby making the counselling endeavour an intended success.
The programme was successfully concluded on 19.01.2022 and the valedictory session was marked with the formal Vote of thanks to the worthy Principal, Prof. Minu Mahajan, Chief guest on the occasion and the invited resource persons, by Prof. Bini Kumar Sharma.
